This is a painting of the late American singer, musician and actor, Elvis Aaron Presley. He died in 1977 at the age of forty two. He held and still holds many popular music records in terms of single and album sales and chart success in the genres of rock and roll, pop, country, gospel and R&B. My objective here was to paint the artist in an atmospheric setting and to capture the side to him which is perhaps under appreciated by some and that was his incredibly emotional voice and range, rather than his early rock and roll years or his later, live performances in his legendary white suit.
