Offered is a print of my original oil painting titled "Full Moon Rising"

My studio faces east and I often watch either sun or moon rises. Moon rises that happen when the sun is not fully set are especially interesting to me as one sees not only the moon but also the sun's last light on any clouds that may be positioned in the eastern sky. In this work I depicted an early summer evening full moon rising past a thunderhead that catches the last of the day's sunlight. I painted the landscape below as a simple suggestion of prairie and distant cluster of mountains. To emphasize the height of the cloud and sky, I chose to use an extreme vertical format. To create an ephemeral feeling, I painted the using predominantly soft edges (especially the sky area).

May I suggest? The narrow vertical format of this print can complement arrangements of other small prints displayed in hallways or inviting intimate spaces (such as by reading chairs or desks.)
