Drawing 12"x18" on 400 Series Watercolour Paper. Used a Photo on my Tablet as reference which allowed me to zoom in and out on important details. I liked this Picture which I used as reference as it is not common to see Birds and a Ground Hog co-habituating or at least living sort of together. I used Liquid Ink brushed on with a small detail brush, masking fluid to protect the subject wile I washed I the background. Afterwards I used Hairs over dark areas.
I paid close attention to the fine details like the ground Hogs Hair as well as the fine Fur and Feather details of the birds. Their feathers were naturally dark in Colour which made it a little easier to show other than the lighter coloured feather ends.
