My early morning walk takes me to the coast where I can sit and see the day come in on, little cat's feet, as Carl Sandberg once wrote. After crossing the field, you approach the rocks. They form fingers you can walk on to the ever more rugged coastline and to the edge of the sea which is sometimes calm but always moving and sometimes crashing. The enormity and power of Nature and how we are only a part of a larger thing is a recurring thought in my mind. This painting is, however, a small thing. Only 12" wide by 6" H on canvas board it is a small gem. It makes a soft statement. Now framed in a 1" silvered frame.
