This 3 x 5 foot glow-in-the-dark canvas, inspired by topography maps, is buttermilk and brown acrylic by day, and glows naturally 8 to 12 hours from doped strontium aluminate (rated toy-safe by OSHA) when the lights go out. Different rare earth minerals mixed with the strontium create the different colors. Any visible light will "excite" the minerals to glow naturally and shed light throughout the night. No special bulbs needed. Makes a great nightlight for a stairwell, living room, or meditation or massage room. Full spectrum light exposure makes the colors the most vivid.

The specs: This is premium heavyweight (15 oz) double gessoed, acid free canvas. No frame needed as the edges are hemmed. Enameled steel rods have been sewn into top and bottom of canvas. There are 3 1 inch brass plated grommets across the top for hanging. Canvas can be rolled up for easy transport of an otherwise unwieldy sized artwork. Ships in a tube.
