This artist was featured in “The Art Union” of London, a monthly journal of the fine arts, in 1830, when the King of Prussia commanded him to paint a show-picture containing portraits of the most eminent Prussian statesmen.

The last original painting of M. Kruger to sell was “Holy Family,” sold at auction in 2013 for nearly $1,500 (see mutualart.com for complete details).

In the spirit of the holidays, I am only asking $799 but will accept more if you are so inclined.

There is light damage to the paper on the back-side of the frame, a few small and insignificant tears, but it is purely cosmetic, the painting itself is in perfect condition.
