Movement and energy depicted through the grace and elegance of a barefoot woman dancing. The billowing scarlet skirt contrasts with the grey background, both framing the rich flesh tones. The title is a playful reference from one of my favourite movies. The working title whilst in my studio was 'Scarlet Woman'. Painted on a professionally stretched large boxed canvas with a medium texture. The oils and mediums are exclusively artist's quality Old Holland and Michael Harding. Finished with a light satin varnish.
