Acrylic and oil painting on canvas
This painting was inspired by the movie poster of FX tv series Trust based on the true story of the kidnapping of Jean Paul Getty the III in 1973.
The art direction and photography of the series deeply impressed me and the painted image became a bridge between events in the '70s and the current times we are living signed by great uncertainty, anxiety and collective turbulence.
In my interpretation of the image, the message is way beyond the story. Trust hints to a general need for keeping faith alive despite the struggles. Painting a body painted subject has been challenging and at the same time the most rewarding creative process I have experienced lately.
