The picture that originally inspired this painting was part of a promotional email that I received from Lelo, a swedish company that specialized in design rich sex toys.
I chose this subject because of the body posture, the fluidity of the emerald green fabric and the hand gripping on the dress.
I also love wood surfaces in the background and couches as the extra movement that they enrich the composition with.
When I noticed this email while emptying my spam inbox, I was reading a book about Hieros Gamos or the marriage with the God within.
I found myself particularly intrigued by the cocpect of the Monad and the one point of inner stillness and wholeness that swipes away all of the illusions and separation timelines.
The female subject is also an allegory of that concept. The union with the Sacred masculine as from within in an integrated Zero Point stillness.
