It is believed that every living thing is connected by spirit, and that everything created by God is inherently good.
Spirit; our souls never die, and will always have influence on 'rebirth'.
While on this earth, the human spirit constantly searches for peace and direction. It is constantly questioning existence, the meaning of life and God, while trying to stay committed to faith.
In this piece I attempt to show my own spiritual growth and myself as an entity/ energy being born into life on earth as a sinful human being. I show how God changes us to become more like Him. I wanted the centre figure to symbolize Christ dying on the cross and taking on our sins to save us.
Ultimately the work looks like a tree with the leaves at the top, symbolizing spiritual growth. The tree stands strong because the roots (my faith) are strong.
"There is no need to fear the storm if the roots are strong".
