Encaustic art really is something quite special & when painted with ink becomes truly radiant. The finished feel of the beeswax is awesome. Seeing a painting in real life is truly mesmerising.
Encaustic medium is a mixture of beeswax and dammar resin (a tree sap) when melted together and painted onto a board, several layers are then fused together, this combination gives stability to the painting to with stand temperatures to 65c / 150f.
Each painting is recorded for its authenticity and personally monogrammed with a wax seal by myself, the artist, and every piece is mounted & stands proud from the wall by 5.50cms in a wooden matt black surround, ready to hang.
