On a black canvas, I used a blending brush to dab white around the canvas to create the landscape and the leaves of the tree with white paint. I then used a then brush to create the tree trunk and branches, as well as the wind lines and birds.

Following up, I used a palette knife and crimson red to create a poncho and umbrella for the Red Lady as well as spreading the white hair and boots.
