This famous street in Carmel California winds down to the white sand beach of this romantic city. I painted this to reflect a time before cell phones , and the internet , when people would read the paper and talk to each other.
Families could walk the evening streets , enjoy the fresh air off the Pacific as the fog gently rolls in. A very inviting comfortable and beautiful time. I hope this work will remind the viewer of an emotion that brings a welcome emotion of comfort , and hopefully a smile
