OCTOPIST is a painting of an Octopus on a 47”x23” heavy duty board. The Octopus is really close up, so there is not much of him showing, just two tentacles, his eyes and his forehead. His eyes are red with black pupils, and they look very similar to the number 8, and the white part of the eyes have a lot of yellow in them. He is orange, red-orange, yellow, pink and red with white and yellow warts all over him. The Octopus has blue bubbles and waves around him letting it’s viewers know that he is in water. I used BASICS, GOLDEN & LIQUITEX (high-end acrylic paints) and high quality paint brushes to paint this. The name OCTOPIST came from his squinting eyes, because this is the expression that humans have when they are pissed off.
