“BAH HUMBUG” is a painting of The Grinch from the well known Dr. Seuss Christmas movie “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.” Bah Humbug is an exclamation that conveys displeasure which I was feeling when I first created this image. It actually started out on the front of a Christmas card that I made for my mother a few years ago. I was not able to get her any gifts that Christmas, so I made a card with The Grinch on the front with his middle finger up. He wasn’t flipping my mom off, he was flipping Christmas off in general. My mother got a kick out of it and so did everyone who saw it, so I decided to paint the same image on a 32”x36” stretched canvas.
