Featuring a graceful and beautiful young Woman. “Forget Me Not’. Size 40 x 30 inches. The abstract butterflies were created very simply with gold leaf. I didn’t want them to be realistic or to be defined but rather ‘suggest’ in a reflective way. They are similar in tonal value with the background and so they tend to appear and disappear depending on the viewing angle and the reflective light source. The background features an abstract use of brush work. I wanted a vibrant, energetic feeling. I see these brush strokes representing emotions, spirit and the scent of spring/summer gardens. My ambition was to create a visually stimulating artwork with a feeling of sensuality and an air of mystique within an untold story.
