It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child. - Pablo Picasso
I started my art career in 1989. As a child growing up, my imagination has always been an incredible driving force in my life. My passion and love is to draw, paint and design. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Radford University, Virginia as well as a Diploma in Visual Communication at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. Being exposed to different cultures of the East and West help me see that our differences make us beautiful.
I love incorporating both digital and traditional creative techniques in my work because they enrich my creative process. My attention to details ensures that each piece of my art captures the depth of texture, the vibrancy of colors and the universal life energy that present within every living thing.
I seek inspiration in nature, culture, art, music and people. My art reflects the world I perceive, nature I adore and admire, and the people I meet who have inspired me in countless ways. There is a childlike, innocent quality to my art. Young children tend to live in the moment; this is the quality I seek to express in all of my art. But most of all my work reflects my inner spiritualism.
I hope my body of work brings a smile on your face and inspires you to make a deeper connection with yourself. It's the little things in life that counts, and that's the story I seek to capture in each piece - To bring joy to those who come contact with my art. In my free time I enjoy reading books and writing.
