Throw Your TV Out Through The Window!www.ArtPal.com/sauloalencastre
I use LCD TV screens to paint. Then I hammer some of the paintings, or exhibit them for the public to hammer. The act of hammering a painting epitomizes the denial of the sacred aura imputed to art and artists. Everyone can know and free oneself.
In 2013 I produced the independent event Destroy It Yourself!, exhibiting paintings in notebook screens which were hammered by the public, and presented the LCD TV painting Ned Ludd at the Memorial da América Latina, both in the city of São Paulo. In 2014 I painted a lot, and in 2015 I launched my website, received a honorable mention at the London Creative Competition and hammered a painting in front of the most iconical art space in the city, MASP.
