Art Academy in Priština, graphic design, graduated 1995, and at the same university, Masters in Fine Art Painting, year 1998. Year 2002. specialized graphic design at Foothill College, Los Altos, California, and 2003. digital publication at the OICW, Menlo Park, California, USA, where he was confirmed by the GATF / PIA (Graphic Arts Technical Foundation / Printing Industries of America).
Year 1996. Rakićević became a member of ULUS and since 2002 a member of the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto, California, and since 2003 a member of the Berkeley Art Center, California, USA.
Since 1999. Rakićević spends twelve creative years in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Sillicon Valley, where he lived and painted.
He has received numerous awards for artistic creativity, including UNICEF award for Antiwar topic.
He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world;

In 1999 he went to the USA, where in San Francisco artist lives and works twelve years. It is important to note that the artist was the winner of several major world awards for art creativity, was especially significant award from UNICEF for anti-war theme.
What and how today, after a turbulent life and artistic adventures, paints Pedja Rakićević?
In an era of creative maturity, Pedja chooses - painting nature. Turning to the nature, he does not aspire to recognizing and interpreting the landscape area, rather than, artist seeks to seen a scenes of the world, turning into a pretext for his (and the viewer) contemplation - artistic, poetic, philosophical.
Before us are the paintings that "touch" our own sensibility, our soul, driven by noble thoughts. The titles of Pedja paintings, not without reason, there are concepts: tenderness, joy, gracefulness, silence, thinking, awakening ... Obviously, the artist wants to overcome the straight-visual pleasantness, and directs us sensitively to poetic reflection of the nature, of life; about the dialectical principle of our own existence, achieving full aesthetic sense of painting, artist, taking us seriously to philosophical reminiscences about the aesthetics of painting, about artistic ethics, about morality ...
At the same time, dealing with the painting of nature - Pedja reaches the essential nature of the painting.
Pedja is deeply skilled draftsman and colorist racial; he feels the shape, color and fullness of discretion tons, and causes him tactility of matter which is not used as a means, but as the materialisation of authentic pictorial confirmation of his own artistic thought and sensibility.
