Meg Vivers produces impressions of Australian landscapes using oil on stretched canvas or linen. Sometimes she makes use of the brilliant colours of natural ochres. Her works hang in Australian homes, public spaces, and in homes beyond Australia. Although her paintings are reminiscent of those of well-known Australian artist Fred Williams, her style actually began to evolve well before she became familiar with Williams’ work. She has recently been experimenting with fluid figures in her landscapes. However, her fascination with the Australian bush continues.
