Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! I have been studying and doing art since my grandmother gave me my first oil painting lesson at the age of 9. Over the years, I have studied graphic design, drawing, painting, and pastel painting. I have taken many classes and workshops over the years, but my most rigorous and challenging classes were through the Art Students League of Denver, where I had the opportunity to study under award winning and prolific artists that I greatly admire.
In 2011, my training came to halt as I was struck down by a ruptured brain aneurysm. After the brain surgery, I had to reevaluate every part of my life as I learned to live with a new normal; both in personality and cognitive changes but also the many other challenges that came with it.
I found that although my personality had some changes, the one thing that remained was my passion for art. As I have relearned the things I had studied over the years, my passion for art has ignited into something far greater than I ever would have imagined.
As I have evaluated my life purpose and direction, the answer has been clear. I must create art!
