Frances Vincent Artswww.ArtPal.com/fvarts
Ever since Frances was a child she has enjoyed capturing the world around her through art. Her passion for animals combined with her natural ability to depict detail was the start of a journey into the world of being an artist.
Frances is a self taught artist and has been exhibiting her work in local shows and exhibitions since she was 13 years old. She did however graduate with a National Diploma in Art and Design in 2011 after feeling she needed to pursue her art as a career.
She works in a style called 'photorealism', which is highly detailed and should look close to or as real as a photograph. It is quite time consuming but very rewarding. She puts lots of effort into bringing the image to life with extra focus on the eyes...the windows to the soul. Because frances' drawings are created by the gradual build up of layers upon layers, a rubber is never needed. She uses graphite pencils ranging from 4H to 8B in density and smooth thick cartridge paper of the highest quality.
