I am a self taught artist disabled by chronic pain. As a result I guess you would call my art outsider or maybe polished folk art. Most of the paintings are of places I have visited. There may be a few that are fantasy destinations. Original paintings are done with acrylics and metallics and glitter paints that make the painting change as the light changes. I've had clients and friends tell me, they changed their whole rooms around the art as they loved how the colors filled the room. I'm glad as with many of the paintings and as other artists can attest to, we put a little of our own soul into many of our works.
As I have a very limited budget I've done them all using melamine or white board. Just had to create something for the love of art.
Anyway I also have been doing these black and white pieces for a long time, sometimes I will incorporate names into these drawings when I do them for friends and children. The kids love to color these especially when they see how good they look finished with glitter and neon gel pens. Over ten years ago I had put a few up online as coloring books for adults. This type of art goes back to my younger days when I started doing this in high school, the operative word being high. While it may have been inspired by an electric kool-aid test, presently I find it to be relaxing while creating, and an enjoyable respite from living in chronic pain.
