Craig Tubbs: Artistwww.ArtPal.com/craigjtubbs
Hello! Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Craig Tubbs and I am an artist from New Orleans, LA. I have been an artist for the majority of my life. All through middle school and high school I knew I wanted to create art for a living. My high school's Talented Art Program accepted me and allowed me to focus on my work more seriously in preparation for college. I attended the University of New Orleans where I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art with a focus on acrylic painting. I graduated in 2005 just before Hurricane Katrina in the following August of that year. I have since moved to various locations and states, but have mainly lived in New Orleans.
My artwork reflects many different personal interests and styles. I am a big fan of children's book stories, animation, illustrations, and work involving imaginative settings. I create a lot of my work with pen and ink. I enjoy this medium's qualities and use it both in black and white drawings and in vivid colors. I love to draw animals (real, imaginary, or a fusion of both) and place them in detailed landscapes that draw the eye all over the picture. I often draws trees in my own style I developed over time. Sometimes my work is darker or more political and serious. Other times it is just something that pops in my head and I run with the idea.
My personal views on animals and the environment are often represented in my work in some manner; whether obvious or subtle.
