At A Loss For Words
In 2009, I survived a stroke and brain surgery. By chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and rebuilding my daily practice of Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism, I became myself, again, one day, in 2016.

Climate Change
In 2006, during the 4th Silent Prayer of Morning Gongyo to my Nichiren Shoshu Gohonzon, I prayed again for my impossible desire. To do "art photography" the way I had 30 years earlier. Then I took this photograph.

Polar Vortex
In 1981, I was awestruck to learn that Nichiren Daishonin revealed Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo to enable all human beings to attain Buddhahood. Then I took this photograph.
