Clayton Earl Kelley was born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, in the town of Clinton, near the Illinois border just north of Terre Haute, Indiana. A decedent of English and Irish Immigrants, Clay was immersed in the Italian culture of the Clinton area, which influenced his love for art and historical preservation. After studying Architecture and Civil Engineering at Purdue University, Clay spent fifteen years in the construction industry contributing to the construction of industrial and renewable energy facilities. During that time, Clay assembled a large portfolio of photographs documenting his travels across North America; capturing the natural beauty of the U.S. and Canada in several remote areas. By focusing his efforts on his artistic roots, Clay has applied his experience and unique perspective to capture 'moments in time' that become timeless treasures. Clay is a member of several historical preservation societies and is passionate about the conservation of covered bridges and other historic structures. He exhibits a tremendous desire to protect our past for future generations.
