I've always wanted to be an artist, but never felt like I had the talent. I doodled in class like you wouldn't believe. Even in grad school, I had to scribble to use up the energy that was building by sitting still. One day an instructor in a team taught class was sitting near me, and I noticed that she saw my drawings. As she leaned over to tell me something, I was afraid she was going to scold me. Instead, she tilted her notepad toward me, and said "I do it too", as she showed me her scribbles. I think around the same time an instructor started debating with me about what my doodle was, one day after class. It all just made me wonder if there was something of value there. I started wondering if maybe I could bring my doodles into the realm of more "legitimate" art; if I could take the things I liked about what I did with highlighters and pens, and make something similar on canvas. So one day I just bought some canvases and a bunch of paint, and started trying things. I don't think I've managed yet to get something like my doodle on canvas, but I ended up finding a whole other world of things that need to be painted.

Painting has become one of the ways I keep balance in my life. It calms me, and gives me a sense of accomplishment that I need to help fight off the anxiety and depression. I am not currently in a position to ship the actual canvases to people. So for now, you can buy prints! If I feel like I have enough interest, I'll work on figuring out shipping canvases, and getting more items on here.
