Erik Brede is a Norwegian photographer and photoshop artist interested in surrealism, composite art, nature and landscape photography. With a conceptual approach, Brede tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way to produce a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence.

Erik startet to explore photography at the age of 13, and spent all his time in his fathers old darkroom and post-production have always been an important part of his workflow. His black and white work is inspired by artists like Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Henri Cartier Bresson, Arno Minkkinen and Jeanloup Sieff, while his surreal work is inspired by artists like René Magritte, Jerry Uelsmann, Sarolta Ban, Erik Johansson and Michael Vincent Manalo.

His work have been sold to television company, record industries and artists, and published in books like "The Best of Photography 2014" and "International Contemporary Artist vol. X".

His favourite quote is 'You don't take a photograph, you make it.' - Ansel Adams

Erik Brede was born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway, but he currently lives and works outside of Oslo.

All artwork is checked by hand, given a protective cover and placed in art-secure packaging before delivering to the art shipping professionals at UPS, FedEx or DHL straight from the laboratory within 5 to 10 business days.

A signed certificate of authenticity, certificate hologram tamper with CoA#, and a label signed by artist, which can be affixed to back of the artwork, is mailed to buyer as soon as the artwork is delivered and accepted. The price will increase as prints become unavailable.
