Beverly Garland is a freelance artist with an 18-year history as an art director and project manager for two of the biggest companies in the computer game industry. Today she specializes in 2D illustration, and is branching into fine art. Over the years, her illustrations, animation and graphic design have been used by NationalGeographic.com, the Nature Conservancy’s Truckee River Project, the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, and countless small businesses and non-profits.
Influenced by an upbringing in the artsy college town of Austin, Texas, she has pursued interests as diverse as art, music, animal rescue, computer technology, environmentalism, geography and spiritual growth. Currently, she lives a location-independent lifestyle in a converted school bus, traveling and volunteering at a variety of intentional communities and eco-villages.
