I took up painting as a creative outlet after some initial art training many years ago. As I pursued a long-term career in the helping professions, my private inclinations drew me towards adventure and art. I live in Canberra, the capital city of Australia. Much of my time is spent trekking, photographing and painting the wildlife and ancient country.
I am interested in the personality of individual creatures and endeavor to portray this. Wild creatures freely convey the pathos and triumphs of living with all the shades of emotion and response. Animals and plants respond genuinely in their natural environment. They mirror the order and anarchy in industrial settings. Some of my birds tell a story we can all relate to. You are welcome to take a journey with me.
My other work is available on Australian site Bluethumb.
