Art has always been a part of my life and I’ve been drawing since I can remember myself. I made sketches of all that surrounds me, but most of my early work I was very affiliated with nature trees, grass, shells, flowers, and animals. Since my childhood I liked to alter things around me. For example, I could paint my shoes and T-shirt, or add decorative details on the night lamp. After high school I studied design and drawing at the Technological University. My specialization was being an artist of textile fabrics. I am very glad that I could use all my knowledge and skills while working in the textile industry. I drew nice furniture fabrics, charming bath towels, wonderful blankets and lovely bed sheets. In my sketches I used local historical ornaments, exotic flowers, mystery animals, fairy tales episodes and sometimes modern art compositions. The most exciting moment for me was to hold a towel or blanket with my ideas and thoughts. I like to see results of my work. It is very interesting to see how the people used my brainchildren in everyday life.
When I came to the United States I decided to continue my education in Highline College and chose a Visual Communications Program. It was such a great choice because I learned how to use technology in my art process. I got new skills that allowed me to incorporate my art around programs such as, Adobe Designers Programs as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash animation and others.
I can’t imagine my life without creating new things, drawing, studying and communicating with other people. I feel happy if I can learn more about all the spheres of life and never stop discovering and exploring myself.
