Exert from an essay.

I was glad finally to see so many of your works hanging in one place.
and to find that they are at least as forceful and stimulating as they seem
in photos.
But also cleverer and less self-indulgent. Most people practicing such post
Cobra expressionism don't know their sources and lose sight of the work's
existence beyond " self expression". You are far better informated, more mindful and sophisticated than that.

I shouldn't even tell you that , but you are really one of the few practicing

this idiom with the wit and formal grace it deserves at least in America.
