I am a Washington, DC area digital art enthusiast. A lot of things catch my eye. I am particularly drawn to photographing parts of DC that often go unnoticed. Every part of DC is beautiful to me whether it is to the east or west of the Anacostia River. I also enjoy discovering the hidden beauty of the back roads of Maryland and Virginia.

Though I am now a Washingtonian, I moved around a lot as a child within the US and abroad. I am equally at home in rural and urban settings but have a preference for wide open spaces and fresh, clean air. I have a love for rural scenes, animals, experimenting with color/texture, and people watching. As the frequent new kid, I developed an ability to study people in order to survive socially. When living abroad, my father chose homes in the community of the host country for an authentic experience. He always took us off the beaten path when traveling. All of this combines to influence my art today.

I am fond of capturing trees, the solitude of egrets and herons in overlooked creek beds, hideaway wetlands and their surprises, social order among animals and humans, aspects of the human condition that I cannot solve, and children allowed to be carefree and age appropriate.

I thank God for my interest and discovery of photography which serves as a form of art therapy for me. Feel free to contact me at or
