David Hamilton. I am a South African of Irish descent, born in Cape Town. In 1986, aged 40 I emigrated to England. Returned to South Africa 16 years later in 2002, then once again came back to England this year.
I have been creating my imagery since 1999. The creative process begins with a feeling which is then portrayed using form, colour & light. The composite imagery is created by layering image upon image, masking and filtering. This manipulation of the imagery is a highly intuitive process. Using Photoshop and starting with a blank screen I draw and manipulate and the images form as if they have a life of their own.
The final image emerges and is complete when it 'feels' right.

Most of the given names are somewhat obscure and meaningless. The reason for this is these images are different for each observer, what I see is not necessarily what you see. So if my name is descriptive of what I see it might limit what you see.

The images emit a vibrational frequency that can and do effect the observer.
